Paddington time-capsule home hits market after almost 100 years
MHM had the privilege this week of visiting number 6 Broughton Street Paddington, one of a sadly declining number of original worker’s cottages left in the suburb. It was like stepping back in time as the interior of the property has been left largely untouched for almost a century. The home has been owned by the one family for the past 95 years. According to Domain reporter Rachel Clun, title records show that the property last traded in September 1920, when a tramway worker purchased it from a local labourer for £400.
The property has two bedrooms, a living area with original stove, a combined laundry and bathroom, outdoor toilet and shed.
